DMOS Collective, of Jackson, WY, has just completed their third Kickstarter Campaign and their first targeted at the 4×4 and survival markets. Their “DMOS Delta Shovel: The Ultimate Off Road and Survival Tool” campaign had 683 backers and raised $147,000 in three weeks.

Susan Pieper, Founder and CEO, of DMOS said, “We want to thank everyone who helped us by backing our campaign or working with us to make the DMOS Delta Shovel. Like with all of our shovel designs, the Delta Shovel is the result of our co-creation process. Every detail has been carefully reviewed by our partners, the pros who work with us, the press, and our customers who want this product. We listened, iterated, and created. People say the Delta Shovel is incredible and, for that, I am very grateful and proud.”

The DMOS Delta Shovel campaign reached its original Kickstarter funding goal within 45 minutes of launching. Pieper added, “We knew then we had created something special for people for whom neither a contractor shovel nor a military surplus shovel wasadequate. The DMOS Delta is a feat of engineering as never before has anyone achieved the trifecta of making a full-sized shovel be super strong and high performance and collapsible to a compact size.”

The Delta Shovel is a compact, portable feat of engineering from DMOS Collective. In this new tool, state of the art engineering and American manufacturing combine to create a toolthat’s durable, versatile and unstoppable. With its three-part aluminum, telescoping, indexed locking shaft, the Delta can extend to a full-sized length (51”) and collapses down to a portable size. The foldable 3-position head allows the Delta Shovel to be used as a shovel, a hoe, and e-tool.

Collapsed, the Delta Shovel stows down to a small footprint, allowing it to be stored without sacrificing precious cargo space. The rattle-free roof rack mount installs on a wide variety of roof racks, truck beds, and spare tire carriers as another easy storage option to quickly deploy the Delta Shovel on the trail or around the campsite. The Delta Shovel is a powerfully versatile tool that’s perfect for any rig headed into the backcountry.

DMOS was able to send afew Delta Shovels to editors to test and review. These trusted gear testers were thorough and arduous in their evaluations butwere impressed.

“It’s well-designed to do work, super ergonomic, and very versatile. Above all, it holds up to some serious abuse.” Bryon Dorr –Gear Junkie

“…The Delta’s advantage is that it isn’t specialized for a single purpose, rather it packs the versatility and function to address multiple scenarios with one lightweight and compact tool.”Chris Cordes –Expedition Portal

With manufacturing starting immediately, delivery of the DMOS Delta Shovel to all backers will be early Fall. Anyone who missed the opportunity to order a DMOS Delta Shovel through Kickstarter will have the opportunity to pre-order a DMOS Delta Shovel on DMOS’s Indiegogo campaign through the end of September or on DMOS’s own website.DMOS is also shipping to specialty retailers for late Fall delivery.
